A Latent Heat Storage System for Low-Temperature Applications: From Materials Selection to Prototype Performances
نویسندگان
چکیده
The industrial sector is increasingly obliged to reduce its energy consumption and greenhouse gases emissions contribute the world organizations’ targets in transition. An efficiency solution lies development of thermal storage systems, which are notably lacking low-temperature range (50–85 °C), for applications such as district heating or waste heat recovery. This work aims bring a latent from material selection prototype evaluation. first part this paper dedicated characterization aging phase change selected screening literature (fatty acid mixture mainly composed by stearic palmitic acid). Then, encapsulated tested whose performances evaluated under various operating conditions. Finally, numerical model validated experimental results used explore influence wider conditions, dimensioning choices, conductivity improvements.

Modern high power electronics devices consists of a large amount of integrated circuits for switching and supply applications. Beside the benefits, the technology exhibits the problem of an ever increasing power density. Nowadays, heat sinks that are directly mounted on a device, are used to reduce the on-chip temperature and dissipate the thermal energy to the environment. This paper presents ...
متن کاملSodium Nitrate for High Temperature Latent Heat Storage
In this paper the results of material investigations of sodium nitrate (NaNO3) with a melting temperature of 306 °C as a phase change material (PCM) are presented. The thermal stability was examined by long duration oven tests. In these experiments the nitrite formation was monitored. Although some nitrite formation in the melt was detected, results show that the thermal stability of NaNO3 is s...
